ART / JUSTICE / CELEBRATION

WHAT IS

Every other year, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s CultureFest takes patrons on a celebration of multiethnic heritage.

CultureFest 2014 : Thursday, September 11 - Sunday, September 14

This four-day celebration will feature play readings by established and emerging playwrights, including Pulitzer Prize-winner Quiara Alegría Hudes, an OSF Presents performance by Luis Alfaro (Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Playwright in Residence), six outdoor performances on the Green Show's courtyard stage by local, regional, and international artists, four Spanish Open-Captioned performances of three plays, and other bilingual and culturally-specific events.

Ticket discounts for performances will be available for underrepresented multicultural groups and individuals during the festivities.

As both a local and national resource to many communities, OSF strives to reflect the full diversity of our nation in all of our work. I am deeply excited about CultureFest as a special, concentrated time to celebrate that commitment. I can’t wait to share the energy of this special week with our community.”
