To help you prepare to see shows at OSF, we are providing this page of detailed content that may be upsetting to some viewers.

Please note that how sensitive content is treated can change during rehearsals. We will update these content warnings to reflect these changes throughout the season, so please check back on this page before you arrive to see the production.

Come From Away
In response to information about the 9/11 attacks, there are brief moments when characters portray Islamophobia. Depicts alcohol consumption and drunkenness.
A Raisin in the Sun
Multiple conversations about and depictions of racism. Depictions of drunkenness and discussions of drinking, some language that can be considered homophobic, mentions physically disciplining a child, and a brief description of a violent act. There are multiple conversations that euphemistically discuss abortion.
Yellow Face
The dialogue contains mild profanity and racist language for comic effect. There is a brief scene set in an adult bookstore, which includes mentions of sex toys and pornography.
You Are Cordially Invited to the End of the World!
Following the journey from cancer diagnosis to death could be triggering for some. There is some profanity, vaping, instances of misgendering, and minimal talk of using drugs.
August Wilson's King Hedley II
The dialogue contains sexual and violent imagery, profanity, and the “n-word” used familiarly by Black characters to one another. Guns are discussed, and gun violence is depicted. There are incidents of theft and other crimes.
Smote This, A Comedy About God... and Other Serious $H*T
Warm but critical discussions of religion and religious practices. Remembrances of being beaten as a child. Stories of immigration and legal status may be triggering for some.
The Taming of the Shrew
Mild physical violence is depicted, often to comic effect; volatile power dynamics related to gender are an inherent part of the play.
Henry IV, Part One
Frequent depictions of drinking, language that can be considered fatphobic, staged combat and battles.
Emma
Mild profanity and one mention of drinking.
