Classes for All!

Calling all teachers! Join our Education and Engagement team for a jam-packed two-day experience that combines active and engaged teacher training with the unparalleled work on our stages. Teachers will learn active teaching methods for Shakespeare’s language, focused on Hamlet. In addition to the embodied, kinesthetic teaching style OSF is known for, participants are encouraged to enjoy select shows playing during the class weekend. Rounding out the experience, OSF professionals spend time sharing their insights and processes. Partial scholarships available upon request.

If we believe the great scholar Charlie Chaplin when he said, “A day without laughter is a day wasted,” this class will help make sure you don’t waste a moment here at the Festival! This season is silly with comedies, and we are taking advantage of the hijinks to look at what it takes to make ‘em laugh. From Loco-motion for Murder to The Comedy of Errors and Shrek, dig into comedic styles in the theatre with guests from the season’s comedies while we consider why the genre is so crucial in understanding culture and current events.
