Michael is grateful for this first engagement with OSF! He has served as a vocal/text/accent coach for productions at the Cleveland Playhouse, American Players Theatre, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Court Theatre Chicago, and Portland Center Stage. Teaching credentials include UC Santa Barbara, Yale School of Drama, Shanghai Theatre Academy, Theatre Conservatorium in Brussels, the Royal Conservatoire in Liege, Theatre of Changes in Athens, CalArts, Arena Stage D.C., Temple University, and others. He has performed at Mark Taper Forum, Yale Rep, California Shakespeare Festival, Ensemble Theatre New York, Independent Shakespeare Company L.A., La Jolla Playhouse, Shakespeare and Company, Red Pear Theatre in the South of France, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Classical Theater Lab L.A., Sierra Repertory, People’s Light and Theatre Company PA, La Mama, City Street Theater NYC, and the Black Entertainment Network. Michael is the co-author with Catherine Fitzmaurice of Fitzmaurice Voicework: Embodying the Holistic Voice. He is the creator of The Odyssey Project®, a theater initiative for incarcerated youth.
