Lisa Anne Porter is an actress, director, professor, and voice/dialect coach. She has coached over seventy productions, including Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Curran Theatre in SF where she was also the Resident Director for the final five months of its run. She was most recently the Resident Associate Director for John Tiffany’s production Let the Right One In at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. She was the Head of Acting and before that the Head of Voice and Dialects in the MFA program the American Conservatory Theatre. She has served on the faculties of Syracuse University, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and Shakespeare & Company. As a professional actor, she has thus far performed in half of Shakespeare’s canon and has most recently been seen as Tracey in Sweat, Gruach in Dunsinane, and Julia in Fefu and Her Friends. She originated the role of Suzanne in Eureka Day and Erica in the West Coast Premiere of A Bright Half Life. She has an M.F.A. in Acting from A.C.T, a B.A. from Wesleyan University, and designation as a Linklater Voice Teacher.
