This is their fifth season at the OSF Green Show

Bold women improvising hilarious and heartfelt tales in Shakespearean style!

The Shrews live in Los Angeles where they all work as actors and teachers. All have backgrounds in theater, improvisation, sketch and stand up comedy, television and film. The Shews hail from the four corners of the country: California, Florida, Minnesota, Virginia and Rhode Island. While several members hold theater degrees in their home states, others attended ACT in San Francisco, the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and East15 in London. All have extensive improv training and performance experience at some of the most prestigious improv schools and theaters in the world: The Second City, Upright Citizen’s Brigade, Groundlings, IO West, Impro Studio. Most of the woman met at ComedySportz Los Angeles where they performed in the popular Chickspeare LA show under direction of James Thomas Bailey. As Chickspeare LA they appeared for four seasons on the Green Stage as well as the Out of Bounds Festival in Austin, Texas, the California Educational Theater Assc. Festival, LA Improv Fest, Brit Week LA and West Coast School tours. Individually they have appeared on numerous television shows (Parks and Rec, Fargo, American Horror Story, MadTV, Gilmore Girls and many other TV shows and commercials) in addition to various plays, live shows and performances in Los Angeles and beyond!
