Mary was a partner in the Portland law firm of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, specializing in corporate and securities laws transactions and medical litigation, until she chose to follow her passion to rectify the gender and racial inequities in the healthcare industry. She brought her vision to reality by designing, structuring and launching a first of its kind, state of the art, patient-focused, multi-disciplinary Center for Women’s Health at Oregon Health & Sciences University, with an emphasis on consumer women’s health education and outreach, and health equities research.

Ms. Wilcox co-founded the Center for Health Promotion Research at OHSU, working to reduce the use of steroids in student athletes, and co-founded Northwest Wellness Solutions, an individual and corporate livability and wellness firm.

Together with her husband Brett, Mary co-founded, and continues to serve as President of, Capital Realty Corporation, a family real estate and investment management company.

Mary has extensive experience in non-profit organizations leadership and strategic planning, serving as Chair of the Board, or in other executive leadership positions, on the following boards: International Women’s Forum/Oregon, University of Oregon, Oregon Health & Science University Foundation, OHSU Center for Women’s Health, Oregon Community Foundation, Oregon Children’s Foundation (dba SMART – Start Making a Reader Today), Oregon Shakespeare Festival, a founding member of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Portland Center Stage, Pioneer Courthouse Square, Catlin Gabel School, and Edgefield’s Children Center.
