Sid DeBoer is the founder and Chairman of Lithia Motors, one of the largest automotive dealership groups in the world. A native of Ashland, Oregon, Sid transformed his family’s small car dealership into a Fortune 500 company with hundreds of locations across North America and Europe. He served as CEO from 1968 to 2011 and has continued to guide the company’s growth and governance.
Beyond business, Sid and his wife Karen lead the Sid & Karen DeBoer Foundation, which has become a cornerstone of philanthropy in Southern Oregon. Their generosity supports education, athletics, health and human services, and cultural institutions such as the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Widely recognized for both his entrepreneurial leadership and his commitment to community, Sid has helped shape the economic and cultural vitality of the region for more than five decades.
