Scott Kalama aka Blue Flamez is a certified prevention specialist and hip hop artist. He intertwined his love for music with his community work by conducting music workshops and hand drum making classes around the country. He is most known for his tobacco prevention work, which can be read here. In 2016, he won his first national award at the Native American Music Awards in Seneca, New York for his music video "Rez Life.” Currently, his music video Blue Flamez “To the Sky,” won Best Music Video at The Tokyo Film Festival 2023. Supported by OSF’s Visual Sovereignty Project, Scott is currently working on his short film "Hollywood Blvd," which is being filmed in Warm Springs, Oregon.
