The Meriwethers

The Meriweathers

Performing in the 2015 Green Show on Friday, June 12

This is their first season in the OSF Green Show.

Americana folk music inspired by the Lewis & Clark expedition.

We are inspired by our mentor, the late Dr. Robert Fay, who taught us the value of the "irresistible project" and set us on our paths of discovery, touring the Pacific Northwest and beyond.  We are musicians, writers, educators, theatre professionals, visual artists, and film makers. We value continual learning and discovery, and we use music and storytelling as a means to bring deeper significance to the world around us, and to the experiences of those who share the world with us.

The Meriwethers on Community:
We are building connections in the community here in the Rogue Valley and beyond, bringing our music and storytelling into elementary schools, engaging students with a dynamic, interactive program that follows the adventures of the Corps of Discovery.  The important roles that Sacagawea and York played in the success of the expedition bring up important questions about how we treat each other today.  Everyone can find a bit of themselves in the story, or learn a valuable lesson.
