If you are interested in purchasing tickets for a sold out performance, there are a variety of options.
For every sold-out performance, we issue what we call release numbers, which secure the holder a place in line for the few tickets that may be available when unpaid reservations are released. Release numbers are given out at the Box Office at 9:30 a.m. on the day of the performance. Return to check availability at 12:30 p.m. for matinees and 6:00 p.m. for evening performances.
Each release number entitles the holder to purchase a maximum of two tickets and each person may take no more than two numbers per show. If tickets, rather than release numbers, are available when the Box Office window opens, one person may purchase no more than four tickets per show if available. Numbers are not valid if transferred, lost or sold and they are no guarantee of ticketing.
We offer standing room tickets to sold-out performances on the Elizabethan Stage. These are available on the day of performance and can only be purchased in person from the Box Office. They cost $14 from Sunday through Thursday and $15 from Friday through Saturday.
Many patrons with extra tickets sell them in the courtyard. When buying such tickets, be certain to check play title, date, time and price carefully. The Box Office is not responsible for tickets purchased in the courtyard.
