Kathryn Ma, San Francisco, California, is a writer and attorney with many years of governance experience on the boards of educational and community organizations. Kathryn served as Founding Chair of the San Francisco Friends School; Trustee of Marin Country Day School; Advisory Board Member of Beyond Borders, a theatre arts summer program for underserved youth; and Board Member of the Berkeley Law Foundation, a nonprofit legal foundation providing seed grants for legal service organizations. Kathryn is the author of All That Work and Still No Boys, winner of the Iowa Short Fiction Award, and recipient of the Meyerson Prize for Fiction. She holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in History from Stanford University and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. She was a law partner at Keker and Brockett, a law firm specializing in complex civil litigation, and she has taught in the MFA Program in Creative Writing at the University of Oregon. She and her husband, Sanford Kingsley, have been members of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for more than twenty years. www.kathrynma.com
