Recharge and gain new techniques for teaching Shakespeare by participating in one or more classes at OSF. Attend and exchange ideas with other teachers and learn strategies for making great literature come alive for your students.

Inside Shakespeare: Hamlet

(March 5 – March 7)
Provides strategies for teaching Shakespeare's great revenge tragedy. Fee includes tuition for a day and a half of class sessions, tickets to Hamlet (Friday evening), Pride and Prejudice and the Saturday Noon Lecture. $255.

Shakespeare in the Classroom

(2 sessions: June 22 – June 27, July 6 – 11)
Offers a theatre-based, versus academic, approach intended to make the works of Shakespeare exciting and accessible for students. Active participation is required. For English and theatre teachers. Some scholarships available. Fee includes tuition and tickets to six plays and two lectures. Housing and one or two units of graduate credit in English or Theatre Arts through SOU, each for an additional charge. $670.

Shakespeare for a New Generation
The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is one of 37 professional theater companies selected to participate in Shakespeare for a New Generation, bringing the finest productions of Shakespeare to thousands of middle- and high-school students in communities across the United States. This is the seventh year of Shakespeare in American Communities, the largest tour of Shakespeare in American history.
