Sue Carney is best known for her work as a composer, producer, and performer at the acclaimed Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where she has been regularly commissioned to create music for theater, dance, and video productions. She is also a director and founding member of The Terra Nova Consort, an ensemble dedicated to exploring the roots of today's world music. Equally at home in modern and historic musical worlds, Carney's performances effortlessly span genres from jazz, blues & rock, to Latin and world music. Her songs and compositions likewise draw inspiration from the many musical realms she has explored in her unconventional career.
The Pipe and Bowl Morris Men, one of Californias first Morris teams, were founded in 1973. They have performed their lively dance style at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire, wineries and breweries throughout the West Coast to celebrate the harvest and bless the ale. Their living tradition, honed over the last 27 years is a vibrant and vigorous.
Beltaine is a Northwest trio featuring hammered dulcimer, guitar, flute, and marimbula. Beltaine is unique in our blend of instrumentation. Our styles range from Celtic to traditional music from around the world. We do not limit ourselves to any one genre. Our backgrounds include folk, rock, classical, jazz, and blues. We choose music that speaks to us. We try to put our own spin on these tunes to make them unique to Beltaine. Our music is our passion.
