Kevin Carr on Community
As a storyteller my community is anyone who experiences life as a narrative, anyone with an imagination, anyone who likes the spoken word and likes a performer with a twinkle in the eye. Those who are interested in traditional music, American and Celtic, European and Middle Eastern, the curious, the historically minded, young folks - these are who have seen me in the past. I have a passion for letting people see a bit of history that is alive and vibrant, and which is little known - that is the world of little known musical traditions that once were central to social life and ritual. I would like to connect to that community which knows little of these shared traditions.
