Lynne Carmichael, San Anselmo, California. Lynne is a founder and partner with Hinman & Carmichael, and formerly a partner with Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. She graduated from Occidental College and received her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She specializes in alcoholic beverage law, which includes licensing, contracts and regulatory advice. She is chair of the ABC Licensing and Training Committee, past-President of Women for WineSense, and on the Board of the San Francisco Girls Chorus.
Lynne started coming to OSF in 1973, when she was still teaching junior high English and has been a member since 1987. In 1997 she went on an amazing trip to Greece with OSF (Peter Thomas, Hillary Tate and Peggy Rubin), which was the first step toward closer friendships at OSF and in Ashland and, finally, “dual residency.” She owns a home in both the Bay Area and in Ashland, and regularly brings many patrons to the Festival. She is currently an ADC member sponsoring The Tempest this year. As a former teacher, she is an education advocate and gives to the Bowmer Society. She is interested in additional patron development and fundraising work, as well as assistance on Board governance projects.
