Our generous patrons show Eduardo Placer and Ben Pelteson what it means to be part of the OSF family.
It's 6:00 AM in Tacoma, and OSF super-fan Sandy Farewell has already made coffee for two groggy actors on tour. A long-time public school educator, Sandy has been hosting SVP actors (and making them coffee) for the past six years.
This year, actors Eduardo Placer and Benjamin Pelteson have been gratefully crashing Chez Farewell while they tour The Tempest and To Be or Not To Be: Or The Problem of Happiness and How to Achieve it, their show is about optimism and pessimism, in Tacoma. Optimism, the boys say, is much easier to achieve with such a generous host.
Eduardo and Benjamin have also been fortunate enough to stay with Bower Society Members Charlotte Lin and Robert Porter at their beautiful home in Bellvue (The most spectacular view and some of the best meals in Seattle), Katie Farewell (another favorite OSF super-fan) in Portland, Robin Havenick & Steve Fletcher (Mom and Dad to OSF actor Miles Fletcher) in Corvallis, and Julie Chapman (Miles's godmother) in Hawthorn. They have also had a chance to see some great theatre in Seattle thanks to Bill &Rae Saltzstein and Jerry Manning.
Folks like these will truly turn your frown upside down. Even at 6:00 AM.
