DanceAbility International is a collection of amazing people. This group of miraculous dancers includes disability and non disability individuals. Touring all over the world, this troop performs their spectacular dances with passion and all their heart. These breathtaking shows will amaze you. Clearly much strength, power, and dedication are used by these courageous dancers. When they dance it is apparent that they are telling us it does not matter if you're on crutches or in a wheelchair, if you want to dance nothing should stop you. They have been performing and helping people with a range of disabilities from mild to severe and from physical to mental since 1987, although a disability is not required. It is a goal of artistic director Alito Alessi to integrate all difference types of people with all abilities. The DanceAbility method is practiced in about twenty countries—through Alito’s visits, and through more than 300 Certified DanceAbility teachers. They say “We are especially well-known within improvisation, contact improvisation, post-modern dance circles, and among people with disabilities and people working for human rights. The DanceAbility method works well for all people, including people with mental or severe disabilities.” DanceAbility International will be performing at The Green Show Friday, September 20 and Sunday, September 22 at 6:45. You shouldn't miss this incredible inspirational group from Eugene, Oregon.
