As an actor, Haj has worked with Garland Wright, Anne Bogart (as an original member of SITI Company), Peter Sellars, Sir Peter Hall, JoAnne Akalaitis, Robert Woodruff and others. 

Awards and Honors: 2000 NEA Millennium Grant awarded to “fifty of America’s finest artists”; named by American Theatre magazine as one of 25 theatre artists who will have a significant impact on the field over the next quarter century; recipient of 2014 Zelda Fichandler Award; 2010 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Production (Hamlet, Folger Theatre).
