tips for ordering
Many groups visit the Festival. Here are some tips to consider before ordering your tickets.
(For 2012 helpful links, please see our How to order tickets page)
Order in advance
Select the dates for the plays you want to see. Be sure to have alternates in mind as some dates sell out quickly. Order as far in advance as possible. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Order enough tickets for your group's needs, since it isn't always possible to add more later.
Enhance your visit with classes and workshops
Get more from your visit to OSF by attending educational classes and workshops. View our classes for groups or classes for student groups. And if you're a teacher you might be interested in our classes for teachers and educators.
Tour guides and bus drivers
Remember to order tickets for tour guides and bus drivers.
Access needs
When you order, let us know if members of your group have special needs; services and facilities for people with disabilities are available.
Age recommendations
Some of our plays contain material that you may not consider suitable for certain members of your group. If you are not familiar with a play, you may wish to read it before ordering your tickets, or review our age recommendations. If you have specific concerns, please feel free to ask the Group Sales staff for guidance at (541) 488-5406 or (866) 545-6337.
Complimentary tickets
All groups of 16 or more receive one complimentary ticket per performance. During the Value Season, for student groups, grades 1-12, every 16th ticket per performance is complimentary.
Chaperones
For student groups through Grade 12, as a courtesy to the rest of the audience, we strongly urge you to include in your party enough adult chaperones to maintain order in your student group. Our recommendation is one adult for 15 students, although we encourage you to bring more if possible.
Download and distribute our chaperone guidelines (PDF, 59 KB) to your chaperones before your trip.
Before you arrive
Please review our student behavior guidelines (PDF, 57 KB) and discuss them with your students before your visit.
