Ashland, Ore.--The Oregon Shakespeare Festival invites community members to an Open House from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 3. The event is free and all ages are encouraged to attend.
Among the activities scheduled are behind-the-scenes tours through production areas of the Festival that are not usually open to the public, including the costume, scenic, properties and paint shops. The shop tours are from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tours in Spanish are available at 12:30 p.m. in the costume shop and 1:30 p.m. in the scene shop. New Theatre tours are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. (Spanish tour available) and 11:45 a.m. (Download a complete English/Spanish schedule here.)
OSF company members will provide a variety of entertainment programs on the Courtyard Stage. A dress-up booth and photo booth for kids, as well as brass rubbing, will be available in the Allen Pavilion courtyard. The OSF documentary The Storytellers will be shown in the Black Swan at 11:30, 12:30 and 1:30.
Those wishing to attend the Open House should first stop at the information booth on the Bricks where tour times, campus maps, and an entertainment schedule will be provided. Information about the upcoming U.S History Cycle will be available.
