PROLOGUES

A must for every group! These dynamic, 30-minute introductions to the plays are presented by a company member. Students who attend Prologues, especially for plays with challenging themes or complex language, such as Shakespeare’s, are better able to understand the plays and get more out of the experience. Prologues introduce characters, themes, language and other background information and are offered for every play in the season. They are recommended for
The Taming of the Shrew, Two Trains Running, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Tenth Muse, King Lear, The Unfortunates, The Liquid Plain, Cymbeline, and
A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
New for 2013: To accommodate as many school groups as possible, groups will be combined for Prologues. Groups of 5 – 15: $60; groups of 51 – 80: $75. Tuesday – Sunday before performances.
