Karen Grassle, 2003Well, it’s Friday, so there must be a Famous Face! This week it is Karen Grassle, perhaps best known as ‘Ma Ingalls’ on eight seasons of “Little House on the Prairie.” In 2003, she played the Duchess of York in our production of “Richard II.”

This was not her first foray into theatre; she began in NYC in the 1968 play, “the Gingham Tree.” Later she became became co-founder and Artistic Director of Santa Fe’s “Resource Theater Company,” and has remained active in theatre. She has also done extensive work with Actors Theatre of Louisville.She has recently finished filming an independent project, “Tales of Everyday Magic.” Ms. Grassle is also a writer. In 1978 she wrote and starred in “Battered.”
