Costume Crafts Artisan
First season at OSF: 1988
Jay started at OSF in 1987 as one of two scenic artists. She misses working with her favorite set designers: Richard Hay, Michael Ganio, Michael Miller and Vickie Smith. After an occupational injury Jay moved to costume crafts, where her scenic skills are used in creating non-typical accessories such as the coffee cups in Tracy’s Tiger, masks for Medea/Macbeth/Cinderella and, most recently, the horses' heads for The Heart of Robin Hood. Deb Dryden tops Jay’s favorite costume designer list. Jay also works in the Archives as an oral historian, gathering interviews about the Festival’s many-sided past and present.
