Raining Jane is an acoustic, indie-rock band driven by deep dedication to music and an independent spirit. The four band members first got together in 1999 in the UCLA music scene and have since built a career that continues to evolve and influence others. In 2003, Raining Jane kicked off a six-year touring stint, performing over 120 shows per year, including several tours opening for SARA BAREILLES. In 2008 they co-wrote "A Beautiful Mess" with Jason Mraz, featured on his platinum album We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things. Raining Jane has released three albums of their own independently, and has had songs placed on shows such as Grey's Anatomy and So You Think You Can Dance. They've also played on records for other artists such Willy Porter’s How To Rob A Bank. In addition to their musical work as a band, Raining Jane has always been passionate about community outreach. In 2010 Raining Jane helped establish Rock n' Roll Camp for Girls Los Angeles, a non-profit dedicated to empowering girls through music education. In summer 2013 they will return as faculty for the Britt Rock Camp in Jacksonville, OR. The band is currently writing, recording and enjoying life outside of their tour van in Los Angeles, where they all live.
