Michael "Hawkeye" Herman & Friends on Community
I have a wide variety of interests that give me a broad sense of community. Having been an active part of the OSF family in '99 and '02, I have a sense of connection, community, and gratitude toward OSF. I have done fundraising concerts for theatre companies, service organizations, the Ashland School Fund, the Ashland Historic Railroad Museum, First Friday events, and worked with the So. OR Arts Council. I co-founded the Rogue Valley Blues Festival, which ran for ten years and have a deep connection to the folk/blues/music community. I have performed for the Ashland Chamber of Commerce a number of times. I connect by trying to help where I can. I go with the flow and my music takes me into a broad variety of 'communities' within the greater community of the Rogue Valley ... and far beyond; throughout North America, Europe, and South America,
