Morton L. Friedkin

Morton L. Friedkin, San Francisco, California, is the chairman of Friedkin Realty Group, specializing in real estate investment and development. He also is Director of the Lark Creek Restaurant Group. Mort holds a B.S. in Economics from California State University at Hayward. Mort is extremely active in Jewish causes and civic affairs. He served as president of the Jewish Federation of the Greater East Bay, has held several other offices with that organization, and is the recipient of their Young Leadership Award and Kavod Award. He has been the Regional Chair of the United Jewish Appeal, and the National Vice-Chair of that organization. He has led several community, regional and national campaign missions to Israel. Morts past Board memberships include the Oregon Shakespeare Festival 1995-2000, Cohen Center for Jewish Studies at Brandeis University 1994-1998, National Center for Leadership and Learning 1990-1994 and the Lakeview Club 1982-1988. He has held leadership positions with Northern Californians for Good Government and the Oakland Symphony Orchestra. Mort continues to serve his community by participating in the Bay Area Philanthropic Leadership for the Boys and Girls Club, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and serves as Board member to the Anti-Defamation League (Central Region), National Board member of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and Board member on the Jewish Community Foundation. He and his wife, Amy, have one daughter and two sons.
